Glitter Guilty Pleasures Box November 2013: Sugar and Spice & Pumpkin Spice Cake

Friday was my last day of work at my old agency. I am going to miss my friend-workers so much! Not gonna miss anything else though, it was time for a change. I start my new job on Nov 18th and it also marks the start of work-appropriate polish. Dun dun dunnn.... think I might need to do some work NOTDs. I have been making a list of what y'all want to see and so I feel bad posting another swatch post. I have a week off to play with art though so I promise it's coming!

Anyway, this is my second Glitter Guilty box of three that I ordered the subscription for.  Just like my first box in October, I love it! It is such a fun and inexpensive treat to look forward to each month. Jessica, the creator of Glitter Guilty, really takes into consideration your likes and dislikes and once again she sent me a polish I already love. Here is what I received in my box:

Monthly Mini: Sugar and Spice
Full-Size Custom: Pumpkin Spice Cake
Mini Mattify Top Coat
Chocolate--I already sampled it and it was delicious

More after the break!

Pumpkin Spice Cake
I was so excited to see Pumpkin Spice Cake. PSC is a nude/tan crelly with caramel, orange, and holographic glitters. I want to eat it.

I used three thin coats of PSC and 1 coat of top coat. I was surprised how well this covered and very happy with it overall. The larger glitters are slightly sinky, turn it upside down for a bit before applying.

Sugar and Spice
S&S is orange and chocolate micro glitter in a smokey base. Doesn't it look like glowing embers?!

This is a color you have to build up for opacity. I used four thin coats--I totally could have used three but wanted to make sure I had good coverage for the photos. Perfectly smooth with one coat top coat.

Experiments
I wanted to try both of these over some undies and with the Mattify Top Coat but only had time for one more swatch. So here is my mash-up.

Index--OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons (perfect match!) with two coats PSC, 1 coat Mattify Top Coat
Middle--OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons (perfect match!) with two coats PSC
Ring--SquareHue Swahili Charm with two coats S&S
Pinky--SquareHue Swahili Charm with two coats S&S, 1 coat Mattify Top Coat

I prefer to wear most glitters with undies and I liked both of these even more. The Mattify Top Coat is very different from what I was expecting in a good way. It is very clear and just takes the edge off of any sparkles and doesn't feel gross. I like it!

I am aware that these photos look like they are from two different people. My fingers are weird, but I guess no one is perfect :-/
